NOA Visits Sagamu LG Ahead of General Elections

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) today visited the Sagamu Local Government Council as part of its stakeholders’ engagement ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

 

The delegation, led by the Ogun State Coordinator of the agency, Alhaja Tiamiyu Abolanle Aishat, said the visit was aimed at engaging critical stakeholders, assessing the level of preparedness within the local government area and creating awareness on the need for peaceful, free, fair and credible elections.

 

The Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Ogbeni Jubril Olasile Odulate, was represented by the Vice Chairman, Comrade Alhaji Isiaka Salami, who received the delegation alongside members of the management team.

 

Speaking during the meeting, Salami expressed confidence in the preparedness of the local government administration, security agencies and residents of Sagamu to work with relevant stakeholders towards ensuring a peaceful and successful electoral process.

 

He said collaboration among stakeholders would be crucial to guaranteeing a hitch-free exercise, adding that the council remained committed to promoting democratic values and peaceful coexistence.

 

The meeting ended with both parties agreeing on the need to intensify voter education and sustain efforts aimed at fostering a peaceful electoral environment across Sagamu Local Government ahead of the polls.
