D’banj Meets Sanwo-Olu, Presents Commemorative Plaque for New Album
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, received a courtesy visit from Nigerian music sensation, Oladapo Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’banj, at the State House on Thursday.
According to a video posted by the governor’s Special Assistant, Jubril Gawat on X, D’banj paid the visit ahead of the launch of his new album, “The Entertainer: D’Sequel”, scheduled for release today, Friday 16th of August, 2024.
During the meeting, D’banj presented a commemorative plaque marking the album’s launch to Governor Sanwo-Olu. The governor’s aide described the encounter, saying, “D’banj called Mr. Governor ‘the real Koko Master’.”
The upcoming album is a follow-up to D’banj’s recent release, “Koko,” and continues to build on the momentum of his previous track, “Since’04,” which commemorated his 20-year journey in the music industry.
