Driver Dies, Three Sustain Injuries in Ogun Road Accident 

 

 

A devastating road accident occurred on Monday at Oju-Ore, along Idiroko Road, claiming the life of a driver, Bello Lukman, and leaving three pedestrians severely injured.

 

According to Omolola Odutola, spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, the incident happened around 8:45 pm when Lukman attempted to reposition his Honda shuttle car (TTD 537 AE) while parked at the roadside. Unfortunately, he lost control of the steering, striking three pedestrians: Ojo Isaac (26), Ladan Musa Moses, and Tunde Adio.

 

The injured victims were rushed to the State Hospital in Ota for urgent medical attention. Tragically, Ojo Isaac succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by the attending doctor. His body has been transferred to the General Hospital, Ifo, for an autopsy.

 

“A thorough investigation is underway,” Odutola stated. “The accident scene has been inspected, and a sketch map created. Photographs were taken, and the vehicle recovered for VIO inspection.”

 

The Ogun State Police Command has commenced investigations into the fatal accident, urging witnesses to come forward with any relevant information.
