JAMB Warns Candidates as Final Deadline for Old Admission Offers Approaches.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has extended the deadline for candidates who were offered admission between 2021 and 2026 but are yet to accept or reject their admission offers. The Board announced that the new deadline is Wednesday, September 30, 2026, replacing the earlier deadline of Monday, August 31, 2026.

The extension is intended to give affected candidates additional time to make a decision regarding their outstanding admission offers. JAMB advised candidates to take advantage of the new deadline by either accepting or rejecting their offers through their respective profiles.

According to the Board, candidates who accept their admission offers will be able to print their admission letters. However, candidates who reject their offers will have their admission status changed on their dashboards to “Not Admitted.”JAMB also clarified that candidates who have already secured admission during the 2026 admission exercise, but still have an earlier admission offer pending, can reject the previous offer without affecting their new admission.

The Board further explained that candidates who are currently studying at another institution or enrolled in a different programme from the one attached to their earlier admission may still accept the outstanding offer. They can subsequently apply for the appropriate correction or deletion where necessary.

JAMB, however, warned that the September 30, 2026 deadline is final. Any outstanding admission offer that is neither accepted nor rejected by the deadline will automatically be reverted to “Not Admitted.”The Board stressed that there will be no further opportunity to act on such offers after the expiration of the extended deadline.

JAMB therefore urged all affected candidates to log into their profiles and take the necessary action before Wednesday, September 30, 2026, warning that failure to accept an admission offer within the stipulated period will result in the offer becoming invalid.
