Kayode Bankole has been included in the final 23-man squad as the Super Eagles of Nigeria prepare for their upcoming World Cup qualifying matches against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
The squad, announced today, features a mix of experienced internationals and emerging talents, with Bankole’s inclusion seen as a reward for his consistent performances with Remo Stars.
In the goalkeeping department, Stanley Nwabali of Chippa United, Amas Obasogie of Singida Blackstars, and Kayode Bankole of Remo Stars have been selected. Their inclusion adds depth and competition to the squad, with Bankole earning his spot as one of the top-performing home-based goalkeepers.
The defensive lineup includes William Ekong from Al-Khoolood FC, Bright Osayi-Samuel of Fenerbahce, Bruno Onyemaechi of Olympiacos, Calvin Bassey from Fulham, Olaoluwa Aina of Nottingham Forest, and Igoh Ogbu from SK Slavia Prague. This solid defensive selection is expected to provide stability at the back.

The Super Eagles will take on Rwanda on March 21, followed by a clash with Zimbabwe on March 25.
