Labour Party Embarks on Nationwide Grassroots Mobilization Ahead of 2027 Election
The Labour Party (LP) has launched an ambitious nationwide grassroots mobilization drive targeting young leaders across Nigeria.
This strategic effort aims to galvanize youth support, foster national unity and promote inclusive governance ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Marcel Ngogbehei, Director-General of the Labour Party’s Directorate of Mobilization and Integration, emphasized the pivotal role youth leaders play in shaping Nigeria’s political landscape during the National Youth Leaders Conference in Abuja.
Ngogbehei stressed that empowering grassroots leaders is crucial for bridging societal divides, promoting inclusive governance and driving positive change.
The party’s mobilization strategy focuses on capacity-building initiatives, including training programs, advocacy platforms and resource provision. These efforts aim to enhance youth leaders’ effectiveness in driving positive change.
Additionally, the LP prioritizes inclusive policy formulation, ensuring young people’s concerns and aspirations are integral to its strategic vision.
Ngogbehei urged conference attendees to harness their collective energy, creativity and commitment to build a stronger, more inclusive Nigeria. “Youth leaders are the driving force behind transformative change,” he noted.
“Your participation in policy formulation and strategy development is vital to addressing Nigeria’s pressing challenges, including security, economic empowerment, education, sustainable development and good governance,” he concluded.
