Land Tussle: Lagos Police Command Avert Bloodbath in Isheri
Following the alleged attack of some hoodlums who stormed Surulere area, to mark almost 3,000 buildings, after a court order, Lagos State Police Command, averted bloodshed in Isheri-Olowora, Lagos, when the hoodlums moved to enforce a court judgment in the area.
The armed hoodlums belonging to different factions in a clash engaged themselves in a free for all, causing tension that sent shivers down the spines of landlords, residents, and business owners in the community.
The Lagos State Police Command Spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, said it was a civil matter and no life was lost in the incident as police went to the area to return normalcy.
He further said, the Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, who was also in the area, appealed to the two warring factions to maintain peace in the community.
