Man Arrested in Osun For Sexually Assaulting a 10-year-old Girl
A man, Muritala Ibrahim has been taken into custody by the Osun Amotekun Corps on allegations of defilement.
It was gathered that 35-year-old Ibrahim allegedly defiled a 10-year-old girl, whose name has been withheld, in Agba, Boripe Local Government Area of Osun State.
Ibrahim was arrested after the girl’s mother lodged a complaint at the Amotekun Boripe Command.
In statement on Monday, The Corps Commander of Osun Amotekun, CSP Isaac Omoyele (rtd), confirmed the arrest . He stated that Ibrahim allegedly lured the girl to his home, where he forcibly assaulted her.
Omoyele added that Ibrahim also shaved part of the girl’s hair and gave her another dress to wear.
During the preliminary investigation, the suspect admitted to defiling the young girl. “He has been turned over to the police for further investigation and prosecution,” Omoyele said.
