Man Brutally Murdered by Hoodlums in Ogun: Police Launch Investigation

A 27-year-old Toriola Tobi fell victim to a fatal attack by hoodlums At Isokan Estate, behind Premier Grammar School, Abeokuta, Ogun State. The young man was assaulted and murdered while walking alone along a secluded street, leaving the community in shock and grief.

 

Eyewitnesses recounted the harrowing incident, describing how Tobi was ambushed by unidentified individuals. The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and the details surrounding the identity of the assailants are yet to be ascertained.

 

Confirming the unfortunate event, SP Omolola Odutola, the spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, stated that after a scuffle with the perpetrators, Tobi sustained fatal injuries. The attackers swiftly fled the scene, and the victim’s lifeless body was later deposited at the morgue for autopsy.

 

SP Odutola commented, “An investigation has commenced into this killing, and the Commissioner of Police, Alamutu Abiodun, has directed that intelligence be deployed to ensure the fleeing suspects are apprehended.”

 

The spokesperson urged the public to contribute to the ongoing investigation by providing credible information. Commissioner Abiodun emphasized the commitment of the Ogun State Police Command to ensuring the culprits face justice, assuring the community that community policing and covert operations will be employed to resolve the case.

 

As the community mourns the loss of Toriola Tobi, the police call on members of the public to assist in unveiling the circumstances surrounding this heinous crime and bringing the perpetrators to justice.
