Nigerian comedian Debo Adedayo, popularly known as Mr. Macaroni, has revealed that he is facing debts exceeding N500 million.

Recently, the skit creator and Nollywood actor took to his official Instagram to share the story behind his financial struggles, attributing his current situation to poor financial choices and being scammed. In the period of 2021/2022, he lost all his savings due to a fraudulent scheme and a failed investment.

Despite the significant challenge this posed, Mr. Macaroni chose to keep his struggles private, believing that he needed to maintain his public persona and continue performing. Known for his critical commentary on social issues, he explained that the loss of his savings led him to borrow money from various sources to meet his obligations.

In his candid post, he acknowledged his history of reckless spending, which had persisted even before his rise to fame. However, he noted that the seriousness of his financial troubles became painfully clear as circumstances worsened. A pivotal moment came when a close friend, whom he considered family, betrayed his trust, further shaking his stability.

Reflecting on these experiences, Mr. Macaroni admitted that they forced him to reevaluate his situation and make difficult decisions. Today, he expresses a newfound sense of relief and improved well-being compared to the last three years.
