Multichoice Nigeria Announces Price Hikes for DSTV, GOtv Packages Effective May 1
Multichoice Nigeria has announced an upcoming price adjustment for its DSTV and GOtv packages, set to take effect on May 1, 2024. The Chief Executive Officer, John Ugbe, attributed the increase to the rising cost of business operations.
In a statement titled ‘Price Adjustment on DStv and GOtv Packages,’ Ugbe acknowledged the potential impact on customers, stating, “We understand the impact this change may have on you – our valued customer, but the rise in the cost of business operations has led us to make this difficult decision.”
Under the new pricing structure, the Premium package on DSTV, previously priced at N29,500, will now cost N37,000, while the Compact Plus package, currently priced at N19,800, will be increased to N25,000. Other DSTV packages such as Compact, Confam, Yanga, and Padi will also experience price adjustments. Similarly, GOtv packages including HDPVR Access Service, Access Fees, and XtraView will see an increase in monthly fees.
