Speaking during an interfaith programme in Abuja, Tinubu encouraged women to mentor girls, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, by offering guidance, support, and opportunities that would help shape their future.
She advised women to teach girls the importance of covering their bodies, noting that exposing the body should not be seen as a measure of beauty.
“Teach them how to cover up, and you know, being naked is not beauty. We don’t know why they are doing that, but beauty comes from within,” she said.
The First Lady also addressed men, expressing hope that they would exercise restraint and develop the right mindset in their interactions with women.
She emphasised the role of women and families in instilling strong values in younger generations, adding that proper mentorship and moral guidance would help girls grow into responsible adults.
