The Ogun State government has expressed gratitude to dignitaries and stakeholders who attended the flag-off ceremony for the reconstruction of the Lagos-Ibadan and Shagamu-Ore Expressways.

The project, a major component of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, underscores the administration’s dedication to infrastructure development for economic growth and national connectivity.

The Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Nigeria’s busiest highway, plays a critical role in linking Lagos with the rest of the country. The reconstruction aims to ease congestion, enhance road safety, and boost trade and productivity. Key upgrades include the construction of underpasses, flyovers, pedestrian bridges, and the full reconstruction of the Sagamu-Benin Expressway.

The Ogun State government reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating with the Federal Ministry of Works and all stakeholders to ensure the project’s timely completion. While acknowledging potential temporary inconveniences, the government assured residents that the long-term benefits would significantly improve mobility, commerce, and overall quality of life.
