Ogun State Hosts AfDB Special Adviser, Explores Partnership on Industrialization

Ogun State played host to Professor Banji Oyelaran-Oyeyinka, Special Adviser to the President of the African Development Bank (AfDB) on Industrialization, who identified the state as a key partner in the bank’s development programs and project execution.

 

The visit focused on exploring the state’s potential in realizing the AfDB’s One Agenda, specifically Item 18, which centers on the development of the Special Agro Industrial Processing Zone.

 

During the visit, discussions revolved around clarifying the subsidiary loan agreement between the state and the Federal Government, paving the way for a successful partnership. The AfDB Special Adviser expressed optimism about the state’s potential in driving industrialization and economic growth.

 

Following the deliberations, the African Development Bank (AfDB) has expressed clarity on the optimal approach to developing the hub, including the Agricultural Transformation Centre, ensuring the realization of the significant zone arrangements.
