OGUN SUBEB BOARD SECRETARY URGES LGEA OFFICIALS TO PROMOTE UNITY AND EFFECTIVE SERVICE DELIVERY
The Board Secretary of the Ogun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Mrs. Olubunmi Oso, has urged education officials to strengthen cooperation and unity of purpose to support effective service delivery and the successful implementation of government policies in the basic education sector.

Mrs. Oso made the call in Abeokuta while receiving members of the Conference of Heads of Academic and School Services from the Local Government Education Authorities (LGEAs), who paid her a courtesy visit.
She thanked the delegation for the visit and assured them of her commitment to an open-door policy. She also sought their prayers and support as she carries out the responsibilities of her office.
Highlighting the Board Secretary’s role, Mrs. Oso said the office is central to coordinating communication, maintaining documentation and following up on decisions. These functions, she noted, help strengthen collaboration between SUBEB and the state’s 20 LGEAs.
She encouraged Conference members to foster cooperation and maintain productive working relationships within their respective offices. She also urged them to carry out their duties diligently and professionally, in line with the expectations of their positions.
Mrs. Oso said their commitment and dedication were essential to achieving the Board’s objectives and raising the standard of basic education across Ogun State.
The delegation was introduced by the Director of Academic and School Services and Most Senior Director of Education, Mrs. Kehinde Anifowose.
Speaking on behalf of the visitors, the Conference Chairman, Mrs. Morayo Rabiu of Sagamu LGEA, thanked Mrs. Oso for receiving them and outlined the purpose of their visit.
The Conference Secretary, Mr. Olufemi Somefun of Obafemi/Owode LGEA, delivered a goodwill message, describing Mrs. Oso’s appointment by Governor Dapo Abiodun on September 18, 2026, as well-deserved and an opportunity for greater service.
Members of the Conference pledged their professional cooperation and support, saying they were committed to strengthening school administration and improving learning outcomes throughout the state.
In his remarks, Mr. Joseph Bankole of Ado-Ota LGEA offered prayers for Mrs. Oso’s successful tenure. He expressed hope that her time in office would be marked by notable achievements and meaningful contributions to the development of basic education in Ogun State.
