Peace Initiative Network, RemoGDF Organizes 2-Day Programme on Security, Peace and Unity in Remoland

The Peace Initiative Network and RemoGDF are jointly organizing a 2-day sensitization and empowerment programme for community representatives from Remoland.

 

The event, scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, June 4-5, 2024, at the Akarigbo Multipurpose Hall, Akarigbo’s Palace, Ita-Oba, Sagamu, Ogun State, aims to address security issues, promote peace and unity in the region.

The programme, starting at 10am daily, will feature distinguished guests and speakers, including HRM Oba Dr. Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, the Akarigbo of Remoland; Otunba Seni Adetu, Chairman of RemoGDF; Col. Dele Oyefuga (Rtd), Chairman of Security Matters, RGDF; Hon. Mrs Ronke Soyombo; AIG Olusola Subaru (Rtd); ACP Alao Shehu, Area Commander, Sagamu Police Area Command; Ibida Odili Jane; Mr Ola Barnabas; Comr Yinka Folarin, and other prominent individuals.

 

The theme of the event “Partnering for Safer and Resilient Communities in Nigeria”, is targeted to bring together community leaders to discuss and find solutions to the security challenges facing Remoland, promoting peace and unity among the communities. The organizers have urged chairmen of various Community Development Associations to send representatives to the programme.
