“I felt sad when I saw the chart and noticed that Ogun state is topping the chart as the state with most trafficked humans in Nigeria. This is sad because that’s not whom we are, this is to tell us that we all have a lot of work to do, and I want you my mothers to help with it. Let us be closer to the community so we can know what exactly their feelings, by this we can come in to assist them” Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun said.

Oba Dr. Babatunde Adewale Ajayi congratulated the Oloris on the success of the retreat and pledged continuous support from the Remo Traditional Council. He acknowledged the significant contributions of the queens to community growth and development.

“This is great. The reason we thought of something like this is so we could give our queen a chance to inclusiveness. They contribute so much to the growth of the community; hence, we decided to come together and organize this for them. This won’t be the last. We are just starting, and we hope to do so much more for them because they greatly deserve it”. Akarigbo added.

Olori Olubukola Osiberu, President of all Olori Remo, appreciated all those in attendance and didn’t hold back in expressing her gratitude to the Akarigbo and all Remo traditional council. She admonished all attendees to take use of all that has been heard and make their community a greater one.

The retreat concluded with a general introduction of all Oloris to the Akarigbo and the presentation of certificates to each participant.
