SAWI FOUNDER HON. SOYOYE, GNI, NIDCOM CHAIRMAN HON. ABIKE DABIRI OTHERS ATTENDS HIGH-PROFILE DIASPORA STUDY STAKEHOLDERS’ ENGAGEMENT WORKSHOP IN ABUJA

Hon. Soyoye Akinyode Solomon, Founder of Soyoye Akinyode Welfare Initiatives (SAWI), recently attended a high-profile stakeholders’ engagement workshop in Abuja.

The workshop, organized by the Nigerian Institute of Social and Economic Research (NISER) in collaboration with Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), focused on a study titled “A Six Continental Survey of Nigerian Professionals in Diaspora: Policy Measure for Harnessing Contributions to National Development.”

Other notable attendees included Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman of NIDCOM, Rep. Gboyega Nasir Isiaka (Chairman, House Committee on National Planning and Economic Development), Rep. Tochukwu Chinedu Okere (Chairman, House Committee on Diaspora) Amb. Bolaji Akinremi (Director, Trade and Investment, Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja, Prof. Antonia Taiye Simbine (Director General, NISER), among other representatives from government ministries, departments, agencies, professional bodies, and Nigerian Diaspora organizations.

The workshop aimed to establish a systematic approach for collaborations between Nigerians in the diaspora and the country, promoting national development.
