SAWI, PLP Host Successful Cervical Cancer Awareness Program, Renew Commitment to Saving Lives

 

 

January 25, 2025, a groundbreaking cervical cancer awareness program, “Cervical Cancer Free Nigeria”, successfully concluded in Idotun Ikenne Remo, Ogun State, marking a significant milestone in the fight against cervical cancer in Nigeria.

 

Organized by Partnerships for Limitless Potentials (PLP), Soyoye Akinyode Welfare Initiative (SAWI), and other partners, the event drew together women, girls, community leaders, healthcare professionals, and stakeholders from across the region.

The program featured informative sessions, expert discussions, and counseling services, all aimed at educating participants about cervical cancer, its causes, symptoms, and prevention methods. The importance of HPV vaccination and regular screening were also emphasized.

 

A film show titled “Perfect Woman” by Melanin (Unscripted) added a creative touch to the event, sparking meaningful conversations and reflections.

Event organizers expressed gratitude to all participants, partners, and volunteers who made the program a success. “Together, we can make a difference in the lives of women and girls affected by cervical cancer,” they emphasized.

 

As the program came to a close, participants departed with renewed knowledge, inspiration, and a collective commitment to promoting cervical cancer awareness and prevention in their communities.
