SENATOR YAYI APPROVES CONSTRUCTION OF OKO-ADA ROAD AT SAGAMU STAKEHOLDERS’ ENGAGEMENT

The Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Ogbeni Jubril Olasile Odulate (AFO), on Wednesday hosted the APC gubernatorial candidate for Ogun State, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI), at a stakeholders’ engagement in Sagamu.

The engagement brought together various groups and stakeholders across the local government, including artisans, market women, civil servants, entrepreneurs, indigenous and community development associations, youth groups, student unions and other interest groups. It provided an opportunity for Senator YAYI to familiarise himself with the different groups, interact with them and gain further insight into their concerns and expectations.

Speaking at the gathering, Chairman Odulate commended Senator YAYI for his numerous developmental interventions across the three senatorial districts of Ogun State, particularly in Ogun East and Sagamu Local Government. He noted that despite representing Ogun West, the Senator’s interventions across other parts of the state reflect an inclusive approach to development and the importance of ensuring that every part of Ogun State benefits from governance.

Adopting the spirit of Oliver Twist, the Chairman also appealed for more road construction projects and other developmental interventions in Sagamu. The appeal received a positive response, with Senator YAYI approving the construction of Oko-Ada Road, with work scheduled to commence on Thursday, alongside other interventions.

In his remarks, Senator YAYI appreciated the Chairman for hosting the engagement and commended the conducive atmosphere, orderliness and excellent organisation of the gathering. He also expressed satisfaction with the colourful arrangement of the venue and the overall coordination of the event.

The engagement ended on a positive note, with expressions of support for Senator YAYI and the ITEWASIJU agenda. The gathering also reflected the growing political interest surrounding the YAYI 2027 aspiration, as stakeholders used the opportunity to interact with the gubernatorial candidate and share their expectations for the state.
