Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland in Ogun State, has admonished herbalists and ritualists to respect human lives following rising money rituals in the state.

He spoke during an interactive session with journalists at his palace in Abeokuta, as part of activities to mark his 80th birthday.

Oba Gbadebo said he had summoned herbalists within his domain recently and cautioned against demands for human parts for rituals.

The monarch said efforts were in top gear towards curbing the menace of rituals in the state.

Oba Gbadebo said, “We have called all of them to a meeting and let them realise that you cannot ask somebody to bring human eyes, ears, breasts, or all sorts of things. When the arms of the law catch up with you, you will spend the rest of your life in jail.
