SYA Holds Inaugural CWC Meeting, Unveils Bold Plans for 2025

The Sagamu Youth Association (SYA), under the leadership of Comrade Olugbenga Isiaka Lawal, popularly known as Ambassador Easy, has taken a significant step in youth development and community engagement by convening its inaugural Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting.

The meeting, which brought together key stakeholders and youth leaders, served as a strategic platform to outline initiatives aimed at empowering young people and fostering positive change in Sagamu.

A major resolution reached was the introduction of a monthly CWC meeting, scheduled for the last Friday of every month at 4 PM. The association emphasized that this regular engagement would enhance planning, coordination, and execution of youth-focused programs while promoting accountability.

In a move towards economic empowerment and menstrual hygiene awareness, SYA President Comrade Lawal unveiled plans for a skills acquisition program focused on reusable pad production. This initiative aims to equip young women with the necessary skills to produce reusable sanitary pads, tackling period poverty while providing sustainable hygiene solutions.

Beyond this, the leadership mapped out a broader 2025 agenda, focusing on educational support, vocational training, youth advocacy, and community development. The association reaffirmed its commitment to creating an enabling environment where young people can develop skills, access opportunities, and contribute meaningfully to societal growth.
