Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila Appointed as Chief of Staff by President Bola Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu has announced that the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, will be appointed as his Chief of Staff. This announcement was made during a meeting with members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos on Friday. Gbajabiamila, who is a lawyer and a four-term member of the House of Representatives, has been a key member of the APC and has played a significant role in the development of the party.

In addition to Gbajabiamila’s appointment, the President also announced that George Akume, a former Governor of Benue State, will be appointed as the new Secretary to the Government of the Federation. Akume, who has been a member of the APC since its inception, served as the Minority Leader in the Senate during the 8th Assembly. He is known for his commitment to the development of Nigeria and has been a vocal advocate for the rights of Nigerians.

The appointments of Gbajabiamila and Akume have been hailed by members of the APC, who believe that they will bring their wealth of experience to bear on their new roles. The President has expressed his confidence in the ability of the new appointees to deliver on their mandates and has called on Nigerians to support them in their new roles. The appointments are expected to take effect immediately.
