The Ogun State Police Command has launched a new campaign to encourage members of the public to report suspicious activities around them. The “See Something, Say Something” campaign is aimed at ensuring the safety of the state by involving members of the public in reporting unscrupulous activities.
In a tweet on Friday, the Command reiterated its commitment to ensuring safety in the state and called on members of the public to be fully involved in the campaign.
The Command has also taken steps to ensure that officers are held accountable for any misconduct. However, some Twitter users complained about the corrupt practices of some police officers around Ifo area.
One user specifically mentioned that the officers around Ajuwon axis are “fantastically corrupt”. The Command has acknowledged these complaints and has promised to address them.
The “See Something, Say Something” campaign is a step in the right direction and will help to strengthen the relationship between the police and members of the public.
