Ogun State Government Commences Payment of N10,000 Palliative to Civil Servants

Ogun State Government has commenced payment of N10,000 palliative to civil servants in the state as promised to cushion the effects of the removal of fuel subsidy by the Federal Government. The Governor, Dapo Abiodun, had earlier promised to pay N10,000 as a palliative to civil servants in the State to cushion the effects of the removal of fuel subsidy by the Federal Government. The Governor has kept his promise by ensuring that the civil servants in the State receive the N10,000 palliative.

The civil servants who received their funds expressed delight on the administration’s concern about the people, especially the state workers. One of the civil servants who received the N10,000 palliative, Mrs. Adebayo, said that the payment came at the right time, as the removal of fuel subsidy had brought untold hardship to the people. She thanked the Governor for keeping his promise and urged him to continue to do more for the people of the State.

The Ogun State Government has promised that the general public will also feel the impact of different palliative measures that will be doled out across other segments of the society to minimize the effect of the fuel subsidy removal.

The Governor has assured the people of the State that his administration will continue to put measures in place to alleviate the suffering of the people and ensure that they enjoy the dividends of democracy.
