Introducing the amazing Mrs. Aderonke Mercy Ajayi, an accomplished woman from Ikenne Remo, Ogun State. An hardworking woman of excellence and big heart, Chief (Mrs) Ajayi is the newly inaugurated Iya-Ewe of Obafemi Awolowo Memorial (Ang.) Church, Ikenne-Remo.
Born as the first born of the family on 18th August to the family of Prince Obasola Soneye and Late Princess Felicia Taiwo Soneye in Ikenne-Remo, Chief (Mrs) Ronke Ajayi started her education at St. Saviours Primary School, then to Community High School Ikenne and Mayflower Secondary School, Ikenne. She furthered to Ogun State Polytechnic, Abeokuta to study accounting and later Ogun State University, Ago-Iwoye (now Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye) for her B.Sc. in Economics.
Ever since her graduation, Chief (Mrs) Ajayi has been as hardworking as she can be. She served with Cocoa Industries Ltd, under Oodua Group of Companies Lagos State for her service year after she redeployed back from Adamawa where she had her camping. She went on to work at Airport Hotel, Ikeja before moving to Nigeria Ports Authority after six months as an Operation Officer.
She left NPA to join her husband’s Absolute Fumigation Services Ltd as an Executive Director. Together with her husband, they started Memorable Events & Services. Later diversified into hospitality business with the birth of Memorable Lounge in Ikenne and Memorable Annex.
Chief (Mrs) Ronke Ajayi is a member of Obafemi Awolowo Memorial Anglican Church Ikenne. She also belong to some other societies such as Mothers’ Union, Women’s Guide, YWCA. She has contributed her services in several ways – financially, spiritually, support and many more. She is the matron of the children’s department of the church since 2013. Her support, motherly care among others led to her inauguration as Iya-Ewe.
