In a shocking turn of events on Oremeta Street in the Igode area of Ogun State, a heated argument over an electricity bill took a violent turn as a female tenant, Opeoluwa Agoro, allegedly bit off the right ear of her neighbour, Oloruntofunmi Folorunso. The dispute arose after the electricity distribution company disconnected the house where both tenants resided due to a pending issue. To resolve the matter and restore power, residents entrusted Folorunso with the task of collecting a N500 levy from each tenant, but Agoro, who had ongoing troubles with Folorunso, refused to pay.

Eyewitnesses revealed that during the levy collection, a heated argument erupted between Agoro and Folorunso, escalating quickly. Insults were exchanged, and before other tenants could intervene, Agoro reportedly grabbed Folorunso’s clothing, pulled him closer, and bit off his right ear with her teeth. Folorunso was rushed to the hospital for medical attention, while Agoro was apprehended by the Igode Division police, led by their Divisional Police Officer, SP Aremu Felicia.

Authorities are investigating the matter, and it is hoped that justice will be served to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents in the community.
