In a devastating turn of events, a building owned by a family in Ojodu Abiodun, Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State, collapsed, resulting in the loss of two precious lives.

The victims, 16-year-old Suliyat and her 25-year-old sister Nofisat Ayanshina, were trapped inside the structure when heavy rainfall triggered a mudslide, causing the building to cave in. Despite the efforts of neighbors who worked tirelessly to free the sisters, it took some time to rescue them from the wreckage.

Once freed, the injured sisters were immediately rushed to the nearby Tomade Hospital in Ojodu Abiodun. Tragically, the doctor on duty confirmed the devastating news that both Suliyat and Nofisat had succumbed to their injuries.

In the wake of this heartbreaking incident, the family has requested that the deceased be laid to rest in accordance with Islamic rites.
