After an emotional farewell at the Roma training ground, Jose Mourinho has opened up about his departure from the managerial position at Roma, visibly moved and fighting back tears, as reported by The Sun. The esteemed manager took to Instagram to convey his appreciation to the passionate Roma fans through a poignant statement.

Mourinho, in a heartfelt gesture, shared a video montage featuring his memorable moments as the club’s manager. Accompanying the visual tribute, he wrote in Italian, “Sweat, blood, tears, joy, sadness, love, brothers, history, heart, eternity.” The post generated an outpouring of gratitude from Roma supporters, acknowledging Mourinho’s impactful tenure at the helm.

During his first season with Roma, Mourinho secured victory in the inaugural Europa Conference League. In the subsequent season, he led the team to a runner-up finish in the Europa League. Despite these achievements, the football club, in a statement on their website, announced the immediate departure of Mourinho and his coaching staff.

The official statement expressed gratitude for Mourinho’s passion and contributions to AS Roma. It reads, “AS Roma can confirm that José Mourinho and his coaching staff will leave the club with immediate effect. We would like to thank José on behalf of all of us at AS Roma for his passion and efforts since his arrival at the club. We will always have great memories of his tenure at Roma, but we believe that an immediate change is in the best interests of the club. We wish José and his assistants all the best in their future endeavors.”

Mourinho, who was unveiled as the Giallorossi’s 60th coach in May 2021, faced a departure that marked the end of an era for both him and the club.
