Fire Engulfs Two-Storey Building at Dosunmu Market in Lagos

A devastating fire outbreak has engulfed a two-storey building at Dosunmu Market, located in the Lagos Island Local Government Area of Lagos State. The incident, which occurred on Tuesday around 11:10 am, has left residents and shop owners in distress.

Confirming the incident, Amodu Sjakiru, the Head of Public Education at the Lagos State Fire Service, revealed that fire service personnel promptly responded to the emergency to prevent further escalation of the inferno. “Fire Service personnel are currently on the ground to stop the fire and prevent any further casualties,” he stated.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and efforts are underway to gather more details about the incident. The affected two-storey building suffered significant damage due to the intense flames, but further information on the extent of the damage is expected to be provided soon.
