Singer Simi Criticizes Police for Counselling Man Arrested for Posting Daughter’s Naked Pictures Online

Popular singer Simi, also known as Simisola Kosoko, has expressed strong disapproval towards the Nigeria Police for their decision to “counsel” Musa Suleman, a father arrested for posting indecent pictures of his four-year-old daughter, Sarah Suleman, who is a kid model, on social media.

In response to an X user’s report on the indecent act, the Nigeria Police Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the parent’s arrest but announced that the Edo State Police Command would opt to counsel rather than prosecute the parents.

Simi, reacting to this decision, criticized the police for choosing counselling over persecution, particularly in a case involving the repeated sexual exploitation of a young child. Simi wrote, “You want to ‘counsel’ parents that blatantly and repeatedly sexually exploit a baby??? A four year old child!!! Wtf is going on?????? Omg.”
