Alake of Egbaland urges FG to prioritize infrastructural facilities in Ogun State

The Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, has called on the Federal Government to prioritize infrastructural facilities and developmental projects in Ogun State. During a meeting with a team from the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jos, the Alake emphasized the need for good roads, affordable and qualitative education, housing, and other infrastructural provisions to enhance the social and economic well-being of the entire citizenry.

He also assured the team of traditional rulers’ support in carrying out their national assignment for the growth and development of the country.

The Alake pointed out that the State is hospitable and conducive to stay, adding that it is usually known for peace and tranquility, and has produced many prominent nationalities.

The Director of Studies at NIPSS, Prof. Oluwafunmilayo Para-Mallam, led the team and called on the participants to use their visit and research method for the progress of the country. She commended the Alake for his leadership and support for national development, and assured him of the team’s commitment to the success of their assignment.

The call by the Alake for the Federal Government to prioritize infrastructural facilities and developmental projects in Ogun State is timely and appropriate. The State is one of the fastest-growing economies in Nigeria, with a vibrant and dynamic population.

The provision of good roads, affordable and qualitative education, housing, and other infrastructural facilities will help to enhance the social and economic well-being of the entire citizenry, and promote national development. The support of traditional rulers like the Alake is also crucial in achieving this objective.
