OGSG Declares Tuesday Public Holiday for Isese Day Celebration

The Ogun State Government has declared Tuesday, August 20th, a public holiday to commemorate this year’s Isese Day, a significant celebration for traditional worshippers in the state.

According to a statement issued by Kayode Akinmade, Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Strategy, the work-free day aligns with the administration’s commitment to religious inclusivity, allowing traditional worshippers to observe their special day without restrictions.

Ogun State is renowned for its exceptional religious harmony, despite its diverse population. The government has urged traditional worshippers to celebrate moderately and respect the rights of other religious groups, ensuring the continuation of the state’s culture of religious tolerance.
