Adesoji Johnson Adeleye, the Chief Executive Officer of Klass Five Hotel in Akure, Ondo State, has been tragically murdered.
The well-known socialite was found dead in one of the hotel’s guest rooms. Reports indicate that his attackers broke into the room, where Adeleye was still awake and preparing for the day ahead.
A close friend, who preferred to remain anonymous, shared that they had spent the previous evening together and had planned to meet again in the morning. He expressed shock over the brutal nature of the attack, stating that the assailants overpowered Adeleye, inflicted multiple stab wounds, and waited for him to die before leaving the scene.
A family member confirmed that the murder has been reported to local authorities, and detectives from the police headquarters have visited the site. The family member added that the police have taken the victim’s body to the morgue and are questioning several individuals connected to the case.
A spokesperson for the state police confirmed the murder, stating that investigations are underway. A team of detectives has been dispatched to pursue those responsible, and the case has been transferred to the state police headquarters for a comprehensive investigation. The spokesperson assured that the suspects would soon be apprehended.
In a similar recent case, three individuals linked to the murder of a prominent caterer in the area were apprehended after detectives tracked the victim’s stolen phones to them.
