Buhari to be laid to rest on Tuesday, says Katsina Governor

Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State has announced that the late former President Muhammadu Buhari will be buried on Tuesday in his hometown, Daura, located in Daura Local Government Area of the state.
The governor made this known on Monday during a press briefing at the Government House in Katsina, following the passing of the former Nigerian leader and the ongoing burial arrangements.
He said, “Plans have been finalized for the burial of our father, the late President, who died yesterday in a hospital in London. After consultations with his family and close associates in London, it was agreed that his remains will arrive in Katsina by 12 noon tomorrow, with the burial scheduled to take place in Daura at around 2 p.m.”
Governor Radda extended condolences on behalf of himself, the government, and the people of Katsina State to the late president’s family and the entire nation. He also expressed sympathy to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, over the loss of his predecessor.
“May Almighty Allah grant us the strength to bear this great loss.”
Former President Muhammadu Buhari passed away on Sunday at the age of 82, in a hospital in London, United Kingdom.
Following the news of his death, President Bola Tinubu directed Vice President Kashim Shettima and his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, to accompany the late president’s remains back to Nigeria.
