Sagamu High School Old student Celebrates 45th Founder’s Anniversary with Pride and Gratitude

At Sagamu, 27th of September 2025– Sagamu High School Old Student Union marked its 45th Founder’s Anniversary with a grand celebration held at Sagamu High School. The event brought together administrators, alumni, students and distinguished guests in honoring the legacy and vision of the institution’s founder, Chief Victor Olabisi Onabanjo (Late).
The celebration carried the theme “Reuniting Memories, Celebration friendship”, the event highlighted not only the achievements of the institution but also the lasting relationships built through the years—reminding everyone that beyond milestones, it is the spirit of camaraderie and shared history that truly endures.
The program commenced with an opening ceremony featuring Opening prayer by Pst. Mrs. Yomi Soyombo,National anthem, School Anthem and the State anthem by the Head girl Miss. Ogunjimi Grace, followed by the high table call and Recognition of teachers both past and present and then opening speech by the National President Comr. Ojabello Abiodun. Cultural presentations, student performances, and alumni tributes showcased the talents and achievements of the Old Student Association.
A highlight of the event was award giving to the best student in academics and in morals and behaviors, project delivered, which underscored the enduring values established by the founder.
In his message, National President Comr. Ojabello Abiodun expressed gratitude to everyone who has contributed to the growth of the institution over the years, emphasizing that “the 45th anniversary is not only a celebration of our past but also a call to continue striving toward a brighter future.”
The 45th Founder’s Anniversary was not just a commemoration of history but also a reaffirmation of the community’s unity and dedication to uphold the founder’s vision for generations to come.
