Gov. Dapo Again Inks Remo, Ogun State on World Map as Test Flights Landed in Gateway International Agro-Cargo Airport

The executive Governor of Ogun state, Prince Dapo Abiodun on Thursday, 23rd February 2023. In his quest to turn Ogun state to an industrial hub of Nigeria, made another history as Ogun state witnessed the official landing of the maiden test flight into the Gateway International Agro-Cargo Airport.
It was indeed a sight to behold as business tycoons, dignitaries, government officials and executives, political elites, indigents and well-wishers came around to witness the history making event.
Some personalities on ground are; the vice president of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and Mrs. Dolapo Osinbajo, Senator Hadi Sirika, Former governor Segun Osoba, Akarigbo of Remo land, Oba Adewale Babatunde Ajayi CFR, Hon. Kunle Soname, Otunba Gbenga Daniel.
Others ; Engr. Noimot Salako Oyedele, Hon Olakunle Taiwo Oluomo, Hon.Justice Mosunmola Arinola Dipeolu, Engr Gbenga Dairo, Otunba Tunji Lawal Solarin, and many other people of high profile and personality.
The first flight landed at about 2:10pm, which was a private jet, followed by the helicopter that brought the vice president of Nigeria and finally the passenger plane “Value jet” owned by the son of the soil, Hon. Kunle Soname.
The Akarigbo of Remo in an interview with our correspondent, expressed how glad he is about the grand breaking event. “I’m delighted. All I can say is my gratitude to the visioner of the project, which is Otunba Gbenga Daniel and also to our Governor who was able to come up with something like this in a short while, this is a massive project.
“I also want to tell our people that destruction of property is wrong. This is Democracy, and when you destroy government properties, everybody is going to suffer for it, and it’s not good at all” the Akarigbo added.
Otunba Tunji Lawal Solarin also commended governor Dapo Abiodun, saying the governor is more of a statesman rather than a politician. Otunba Tunji claimed that prince Dapo look more at the future of the state, and how the upcoming generation can have a secured future. “The Governor is a good man, and we appreciate him for this great project.
Governor Dapo Abiodun in the post event statement said “The first airplane touching-down and taking-off at the Gateway International Agro-Cargo Airport in Iperu-Ilishan in Ogun State. We’ve achieved the unthinkable within our first 4 years in office. History that won’t be forgotten!”.
The Agro Cargo Airport in Iperu-Ilishan, Ogun state, is another achievement by the Dapo Abiodun led Government, and it’s going to create job opportunity for over 40,000 Youths and people of Ogun state.
The grand Opening of the Agro Cargo Airport is scheduled to be done in six months time.
