Arteta Opens Door for Arsenal Player Departures Before Transfer Deadline

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that some players could leave the club before the transfer window closes, while insisting that the squad is currently in a good position ahead of the new season.
Speaking at his pre-Community Shield press conference, Arteta said Arsenal remained open to opportunities in both incoming and outgoing transfers as the club continues to assess its squad.
“It’s always the case; there’s an opportunity there to go both ways, and we’ll have to see how the market responds and what we as a club can do,” Arteta said.
The Arsenal boss added that while the club is satisfied with its current squad numbers, certain departures may still be necessary. He also confirmed that Arsenal remains focused on strengthening areas where improvements are needed.
Arteta further said the club’s priority is to raise the quality and performance of the players already at its disposal, with further recruitment dependent on how the squad develops.
Arsenal will face Manchester City in the Community Shield on Sunday as preparations continue for the new Premier League season.
