BOLAJI AGBEDE: NEW CEO OF ACCESS BANK CORP.

With over 27 years of experience in customer relationship management, banking operations, and human resources management, Ms. Agbede is a versatile professional. She has a track record of successfully integrating people during mergers and acquisitions, changing company culture, and implementing business strategies.

She started her career at Guaranty Trust Bank, where she held a number of positions, such as Vault Custodian and Relationship Manager. She worked hard to stand out, moving up the ranks from Executive Trainee in 1992 to Manager in 2001. Later, in 2003, Ms. Agbede held the position of Chief Executive Officer at JKG Limited, a company that provided business consulting services.

As an Assistant General Manager, Ms. Agbede began working for Access Bank in 2003 and was in charge of overseeing the bank’s collection of chemical trading businesses. Since 2010, she has served as the Head of Human Resources at the Access Bank Group, where she is responsible for the organization’s development of human capital.

Ms. Agbede graduated from the University of Lagos in 1990 with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and statistics. In 2002, she attended Cranfield University to earn a master’s degree in business administration. She holds memberships in both the Nigerian Chartered Institute of Personnel Management and the UK’s Chartered Institute of Management. She has participated in a number of prominent leadership and career development programs, such as the London Business School’s Strategic Talent Management Program and the IMD’s High-Performance Leadership Program.
