Brilliant Hype Kiddies School Hosts 4th Biennial Inter-House Sports Fiesta 2026 in Sagamu
Brilliant Hype Kiddies Nursery and Primary School successfully hosted its 4th Biennial Inter-House Sports Fiesta at the Gateway International Stadium on Thursday 21st May 2026, drawing notable dignitaries, parents, students, and guests from various schools. The event commenced promptly at 10:00 a.m., showcasing a vibrant display of talent, sportsmanship, and school spirit.
The ceremony was officially opened by Master of Ceremonies MC Ayo, who invited distinguished personalities to the high table, including the Chairman of the Day, ACI Ojo Johnson Olaniyi; Mrs. Rachael Owodunni, Mother of the Day; Pastor Fadipe; Talk2me; Mr. Lasisi; King Victor; and other esteemed guests.
The opening prayer was led by Pastor Fadipe, followed by a recognition of HRH Oba Sunday Oladimeji Osho, the Elewuga of Ewuga Sagamu, and other prominent attendees. The event continued with the recitation of the Nigerian and Ogun State anthems, after which students from the school proudly rendered the school anthem, demonstrating unity and school pride.
Subsequently, a solemn oath-taking ceremony was conducted for house masters and game officials. Student representative Mustapha Aduragbemi read the oath, while Mrs. Oluwasoga Glory, the Game Mistress, administered the official pledge.
The fiesta was officially declared open with a grand march-past parade featuring students dressed in their respective house colors. The procession commenced with White House leading the parade, followed by Blue House, Orange House, Green House, Wine House, and Yellow House, each displaying impressive formations and coordinated performances.
Patrons of each house were invited to take photographs and receive flowers from their respective house members. Notable inaugurations included Wine House by Talk2me, Orange House by Mr. Ogunlesi, and Blue House by Mr. Lasisi.
The competitive segment of the event saw an array of races and games, including 75-meter races for Tiny Tots, 100-meter races for junior and senior students, as well as shorter sprints for the youngest participants. Additional activities included relay races, the Fill-in-the-Container Race, Bicycle Race, Picking the Balls, Blindfold Race, Lime and Spoon Race, and One-Leg Race.
Chairman of the Day, ACI Ojo Johnson Olaniyi, commended the school management for orchestrating a successful event that promotes physical fitness, discipline, unity, and teamwork among students. The students also captivated spectators with a lively choreography performance, eliciting cheers from the audience.
The highlight of the event was the Ultimate Search Game, which saw Wine House emerge victorious, with Blue House finishing second. The relay races and other fun activities kept spectators engaged and entertained.
At the conclusion of the competition, Blue House was announced as the overall winner, earning the coveted trophy amid applause from supporters. Certificates of appreciation were also presented to patrons and supporters of the various houses in recognition of their contributions.
Additional entertainment included parent and staff races, as well as races involving alumni, adding to the festive atmosphere. Prizes and gifts were awarded to winners across all categories, including the top-performing houses and individual event winners.
The event culminated in the announcement of the overall inter-house standings: Blue House emerged as champions, with White House, Yellow House, Orange House, Green House, and Wine House following in respective positions. Blue House also secured victory in the march-past category, reaffirming their dominance at this year’s fiesta.
