Candle Night Procession Honors Late Hon. Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga in Sagamu

The people of Sagamu, political personalities, youths, and friends gathered today, Thursday, January 23rd 2025, for a candle night procession to pay their respects to the late Hon. Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga, popularly known as Ijaya.
The procession, which was an emotional moment for all, started from Sabo, Sagamu, and made its way through Ita Oba, Awolowo, before concluding at Ewuga estate.
The late Hon. Onanuga, who passed away after a brief illness, was remembered for her good deeds and works for the people of Remoland.
“The passing of Hon. Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga is a colossal loss to the entire Sagamu and Remo community. Her demise has left a gaping void in our midst. Hon. Onanuga was a pillar of support, a mentor, and a shining example of selfless service to our community. Her contributions to the development of Remo will never be forgotten. We will deeply miss her wisdom, guidance, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of our people” Ikenga said.
Attendees sang her praises and celebrated her life, with many notable figures in attendance, including Otunba Taofeek Sokoya Danku, Hon Adeniran Ademola (Sapele), and Hon Ajetunmobi Abeeb Samuel.
Other attendees included Ikenga, executive members of Sagamu youth Association, executive members of Remo Youth association, and many other political colleagues and associates.
