Dapo Abiodun Releases Additional 1 billion Naira for Pensioners’ Gratuity Payments

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has announced the release of an additional 1 billion Naira for gratuity payments. This funding will be allocated in two disbursements, with the first addressing the needs of pensioners listed in October 2014. Outstanding amounts for Basic, Rent, and Transport (BRT) allowances from March 2013 will also be addressed.

 

The second disbursement will benefit pensioners listed in November 2014, covering their outstanding BRT allowances from March and April 2013. Governor Abiodun’s administration has already made a total release of approximately 1.7 billion Naira over the past six months, demonstrating their commitment to the welfare of senior citizens.

 

“This funding will be allocated in two disbursements, the first of which will address the needs of pensioners listed in October 2014.

 

“This includes outstanding amounts for Basic, Rent, and Transport (BRT) allowances from March 2013. Furthermore, pensioners with urgent medical requirements or hospital bills will be given priority, and their needs will be taken care of using this gratuity.

 

“The second disbursement will benefit pensioners listed in November 2014. Additionally, it will cover the outstanding Basic, Rent, and Transport (BRT) allowances for the remaining pensioners from March and April 2013.” Governor Abiodun wrote in a statement.
