INSTALLATION CEREMONY HOLDS FOR CHIEF (MRS.) PARAMOLE FOLASHAYO AS YEYE TAYESE OF EGBE OBAYORI OBINRIN AKILE IJEBU

Family members, friends, members of Egbe Obayori Obinrin Akile Ijebu, and well-wishers gathered on Monday, June 1, 2026, for the installation ceremony of Chief (Mrs.) Paramole Folashayo as the Yeye Tayese of the association.
The prestigious event took place at Rolak Hotel & Suites, beside Imowo Community Primary School, Imowo, and commenced at exactly 2:00 p.m.
The ceremony began with a colourful dance procession by members of Egbe Obayori Obinrin Akile Ijebu, creating a lively atmosphere as guests arrived at the venue.
As part of the programme, members of the association were called out for recognition and appreciation in acknowledgment of their commitment and contributions to the growth of the group. The recognition exercise reflected the unity and strong bond among members of Egbe Obayori Obinrin Akile Ijebu.
Following the recognition, the Olori Egbe delivered an address in which she spoke about the vision, objectives, and achievements of the association. She highlighted the group’s commitment to promoting cultural values, supporting one another, and contributing positively to community development. She also encouraged members to remain dedicated and united in advancing the ideals of the association.
The official recognition and introduction of the personalities of the day followed, with Chief (Mrs.) Paramole Folashayo being specially acknowledged as the Yeye Tayese of Egbe Obayori Obinrin Akile Ijebu.
A major highlight of the event was the conferment of the Yeye Tayese title on Chief (Mrs.) Paramole Folashayo. As part of the installation rites, she was adorned with the Yeye Tayese crown, presented with the Opa Ase (staff of authority), and decorated with traditional beads on her neck and wrists, symbolising her new status and responsibilities within the association.
Special prayers were also offered for Chief (Mrs.) Paramole Folashayo, with members of the association praying for wisdom, good health, divine guidance, and a successful tenure as Yeye Tayese.
The Olori Egbe subsequently presented her with an award signifying her installation and recognition as the Yeye Tayese of Egbe Obayori Obinrin Akile Ijebu. The presentation was greeted with applause and celebration from members and guests.
The ceremony also featured the installation of Chief Mrs. Yori Otuyela Kikelomo, a close friend of Chief (Mrs.) Paramole Folashayo, who was honoured with the title of Yeye Obayori of Egbe Obayori Obinrin Akile Ijebu. Her installation added further significance to the occasion as members celebrated the emergence of two distinguished women into important leadership positions within the association.
The ceremony was further enriched with traditional Ewi renditions, which entertained guests while showcasing the richness of Yoruba culture and heritage. The poetic performances attracted admiration from attendees and added a unique cultural dimension to the event.
The event attracted notable personalities, associates, family members, friends, and members of the association who gathered to witness the conferment of the revered titles.
Guests appeared elegantly dressed in the official colours of bottle green and gold, adding beauty and class to the well-organised ceremony. The programme also featured goodwill messages, entertainment, and moments of celebration as attendees honoured the newly installed title holders.
