Meet One of Remo Creative Son, Animashaun Perry.
A native of Sagamu, Samuel Animashaun Perry popularly known as Bro Shaggi was born around three decades ago on 18th June in Ikenne-Remo. He had his secondary education at MayFlower Junior High School, where his father worked as an instructor in Ogun state; and at the University of Lagos where he secured a Bachelor Degree in Creative Arts.
His interest in acting started from an early stage of his life as well as being influenced with his father’s job as a drama teacher. He is multi-talented Nigerian entertainer, an artist, content maker, musical artist, and movie producer. His comedy acts dates numerous years back while in the university. He made a great deal of characters before he later settled on the name of Broda Shaggi.
Samuel got into the limelight after his parody drama, ‘Jesu in Mushin’. Since then, he has been on different skits, but he majorly played a character that appeals to most Nigerian people in the street, Bro Shaggi.
He has also featured on many movies, blockbuster such as Ghetto Bred, Fate of Alakada: The Party Planner, Namaste Wahala, King of thief, etc. He is musician dropping some singles and features too – Okoto, Bolanle, Cross My Lane, etc.
His works have gained recgonition, some of the recognitions are The Future Awards Africa Nigeria Prize for Comedy, City People Music Award for Comedy Act of the Year, 2022 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards.
According to a list published by Digital Analytics Firm, Dataleum, Samuel emerged the number one skit maker on Instagram in Nigeria in the year 2022 having posted 270 skits on his Instagram page which got him over 175 million views.
