Miss Lipakala Empowers Youth and Adults Through Skills Training in Ogere Remo
In a heartfelt effort to give back to the community, Miss Lipakala of Ogere Remo 2024, has organized a comprehensive skills development project aimed at empowering local youth, students, and adults. The initiative, valued at ₦400,000, is designed to equip participants with practical skills that can lead to sustainable income opportunities.
The project features hands-on training in various trades, including small chops (food preparation), palm slippers making, and the production of spray perfumes and air fresheners. Participants were provided with all necessary materials during classes, ensuring they could practice and hone their skills independently.
A key aspect of the initiative is the selection of the top two students from each training session, who are awarded startup materials to kickstart their own businesses. These young entrepreneurs will receive ongoing support and mentorship over the next three months, helping them transition from learners to business owners.
In addition, the best two students from the palm slippers making class were awarded scholarships to attend an intensive training session with a professional trainer. This paid training opportunity is part of Miss Lipakala’s commitment to nurturing talent and fostering entrepreneurship within the community.
