Nigeria at 66: Remo TV Joins Nigerians to Celebrate Independence Anniversary

Remo TV has joined Nigerians across the country in celebrating Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary, marking another milestone in the nation’s journey since gaining independence on October 1, 1960.
The anniversary comes as Nigerians reflect on the country’s six decades of nationhood, its achievements and the challenges that continue to shape its development.
For Remo TV, the occasion also highlights the important role of the media in documenting Nigeria’s journey, giving communities a voice and keeping citizens informed about developments that affect their daily lives.
As a local media organisation serving Remo and surrounding communities, Remo TV continues to provide news and information on issues across the region while contributing to the wider conversation on national development.
The Federal Government has declared October 1 a public holiday and urged Nigerians to use the occasion to promote unity, patriotism, peaceful coexistence and mutual respect. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is also scheduled to address Nigerians as part of activities marking the anniversary.
The 66th Independence celebration is being observed on a low-key basis, with the Federal Government saying the anniversary is an opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices of the nation’s founding fathers and the progress made since independence.
As Nigerians celebrate, Remo TV reaffirms its commitment to responsible journalism and to telling stories that matter to the people, particularly those within the Remo community and Ogun State.
Remo TV wishes Nigerians at home and abroad a peaceful and memorable 66th Independence Anniversary.
