Nigeria’s Cooking Gas Supply Hits 5,332 Tonnes Daily in July
Nigeria’s liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) supply rose to 5,332 tonnes per day in July 2026, up from 5,100 tonnes per day in June, according to data from the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA).
The latest figure represents an increase of about 4.5 per cent and was the highest supply level recorded in the 13-month period covered by the regulator’s statistics.
NLNG/SEPNU was the largest contributor, supplying 2,031 tonnes per day through vessels, accounting for about 38 per cent of total LPG supply.
Other processing plants supplied 1,513 tonnes per day through trucks, while the Dangote Petroleum Refinery contributed 829 tonnes per day. Imports accounted for the remaining 959 tonnes per day.
Overall, domestic sources supplied 4,373 tonnes per day, or about 82 per cent of the total, while imports made up the remaining 18 per cent.
