Ogun East Assembly for Yayi Appoints New Directors.

Prince Akin Onalaja named Director of Operations; Hon. Dr. Giwa Niyi Osoba takes Research and Development portfolio. The Ogun East Assembly for Yayi has congratulated two of its leaders, Prince Akin Onalaja and Hon. Dr. Giwa Niyi Osoba, following their appointments to senior positions within the organisation.

Onalaja has been appointed Director of Operations, while Osoba will serve as Director of Research and Development. The group said the appointments were approved by Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi.

Before his appointment, Onalaja served as convener of the Yayi Mandate Group Movements. Osoba previously served as convener of Ogun East for Yayi.

The organisation described Onalaja as a respected All Progressives Congress (APC) political and community leader in Ago-Iwoye, with experience in grassroots engagement and mobilisation.

In his new role, Onalaja will coordinate and oversee the group’s operational activities across Ogun East. Osoba, as Director of Research and Development, will lead research, development and related strategic activities.

The group said the appointments are intended to strengthen its operational capacity and research and development structure. It expressed confidence that both directors would contribute to the organisation’s activities and its engagement with communities across the district.

The Ogun East Assembly for Yayi is a political support group associated with Senator Adeola. Its apex leadership is led by Hon. (Dr.) Babatunde Adejare, who serves as convener.

In its congratulatory message, the group welcomed the appointments and wished the new directors success in their responsibilities.“Congratulations to our new directors,” the organisation said.
