Port Harcourt to Host 2026 NPBL Final 4 September 20–22
Port Harcourt will host the 2026 Nigeria Premier Basketball League (NPBL) Final 4 from September 20 to 22, following a rescheduling of the season-ending tournament.
The Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) announced the new schedule in a communiqué signed by the Chairman of the Men’s Premier League, Babatunde Ogunade, and Secretary-General, Amina Amanchi.
According to the federation, the four participating teams will hold their technical meeting on September 19 before competing across three consecutive game days from September 20 to 22. The teams are expected to depart on September 23.
The Final 4 will feature Rivers Hoopers, Maktown Flyers, Gboko City Chiefs and Aso Skyhawks, who emerged from the Final 8 playoffs held in Port Harcourt earlier this month. The four teams will compete in a round-robin format for the 2026 NPBL title.
The tournament will also determine Nigeria’s representative for the 2027 Basketball Africa League season, adding further significance to the championship race.
