Paris Saint-Germain have been crowned UEFA Champions League winners once again, defeating Arsenal 4–3 on penalties after a dramatic final finished 1–1 after extra time in Budapest.
Arsenal started brightly and took an early lead in the 6th minute through Kai Havertz, finishing clinically to silence the PSG supporters and give the Premier League side control of the opening stages.
However, the French champions responded after the break. PSG were awarded a penalty after a foul in the box on Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Ousmane Dembélé converted in the 65th minute to bring the match level at 1–1.
With both sides unable to find a winner in normal time and extra time, the final went to a penalty shootout.
